dreaded post #1

The dreaded first post.

Every blog starts at post #1... and then either dies a slow horrible lonely death, or is updated occasionally/whenever you think about it, or becomes a thought provoking tour de force.

The litmus test of whether anything I have to say (or type, as it were) is important, relevant, sane, or useful, is up to you.

Unlike the Marines, I have left a blog behind. It served it's purpose and then was promptly abandoned by me. Like digital trash. 0110001010000111100100100111101001010101010 littering at least one server somewhere. Litter sucks...

Please accept my apology internet, for me tossing garbage from my braincase, that eventually ended up in your yard.

When blogs get abandoned, there should be a blog adoption process, like the adopt-a-highway program. Think of it as adopting an orphan on the information super highway. There are a lot of great blog names that you can't use... because somebody thought of it first... set it up, and then ditched it.

How many names did you try before you had to 'settle' for the name you're using now? The great name you wanted to use, had most likely been ditched by some wanker, that didn't give a sh!t about you or your quest for the perfect name for your blog. Did it piss you off?

Maybe that's how the universe feels about us too, that we are nothing more than annoying bits of litter, that have drifted into it's yard.

Welcome to the feral universe. The universe will eventually kill you. Perhaps for no particularly good reason, other than, because it can.
